Gregory James Blonien, 57, of Weatherford, OK, passed away, Friday, September 7, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with throat cancer.

Greg was born March 27, 1955 in Milwaukee, WI to Charles and Jean Blonien. He graduated from Altus High School in 1973 and attended Texas Tech University on a baseball scholarship. He took over J.C Cowboys a family business in Weatherford, OK which he operated for over 30 years. His love and passion was his work. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with family and friends around the country. He also enjoyed snow skiing, vacationing, golfing, boating and sporting events. Greg loved life including all of his family and friends. His sense of humor was infectious and he touched the lives of so many.

Greg is survived by his wife Gayla Blonien of 6 years of Weatherford, OK, son Kirk Blonien of Weatherford, OK, daughter Audrey (Brett) Sundet of Overland Park, KS, stepson Travis Lee of Hinton, OK, stepdaughter Kori Coats of Weatherford, OK, parents Charles and Jean Blonien of Frisco, TX, brothers Mike (Patsy) Blonien of Altus, OK, Chuck (Katy) Blonien of Plano, TX, Danny (Sheila) Blonien of Dallas, TX, Joey (Martha) Blonien of Plano, TX , sisters Mary (Kurt) Raberding of Norman, OK and Ann (Mike) Upchurch Appleton, WI, grandchildren Maddox and Karsen Sundet and many loving nieces and nephews and extended family. Greg was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to all.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Life Fellowship Church, 1709 North Lyle Road Weatherford, OK 73096, and Pastor Ric Freeman will be officiating, under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.
