Gerald Patrick "Jerry" McKevitt was born August 26, 1942, in Dallas, TX to Edwin Patrick and Esther (Condon) McKevitt and passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital – North in Oklahoma City, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 2 days.

Jerry was raised in Oakcliffe and as a teen they moved to Dallas.  He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas.  After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force.  On February 21, 1970, Jerry married Rebecca Jane Bridges in Dallas. Jerry later worked for Emery Worldwide for over 30 years before retiring in 2000.  They moved to Weatherford in 2017 to be near their son, Brian and his family.  Jerry enjoyed tinkering with cars and small engines, walking and being outdoors, and going to garage sales.  Memorials may be made to St. Eugene Catholic Church.

Jerry is survived by his son, Brian McKevitt and his wife, Courtney of Weatherford; three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kynlee and Rhett; his sister, Suzanne; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Donna; brother-in-law, Jan; nephew, Jim; and sister-in-law, Barbara.
