Funeral services for Gerald Dean Crawford I, 67 year old Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma resident, will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home in Weatherford, Oklahoma with J.A. Varber officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home. The family will receives friends at 6:00 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home.

Gerald was born September 16, 1947, in Mangum, Oklahoma to Hugh Crawford and Genevia (Bennett) Crawford and passed away on Friday May 8, 2015, in Joplin, Missouri. Gerald was raised in Reed, Oklahoma south of town and attended Central View Rural School. He moved to Fay his senior year and graduated from Fay High School in 1965. After high school, he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University, earning his Bachelors degree in education. He worked in the oil field for 46 years, spending his time overseas, in Texas, and eventually in Oklahoma. He worked his last years in Weatherford, retiring in April of 2015. He enjoyed gardening, hunting deer, working on cars with is son, and his grandkids. He also thought the world of Cactus Drilling and loved his job.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Anita Crawford of the home in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma; one son Gerald Crawford II and Dana of Yukon, Oklahoma; two daughters, Cheryl Marion and husband Brent of Neosho, Missouri, Lori Ritz and husband Todd of Edmond, Oklahoma; three sisters, Genevia Koch of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Janetta Kennedy of Ripley, Oklahoma, Gennie Goodman of Dallas, Oregon; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lowell, Bob, and Hugh; one sister, Joyce; and one granddaughter, Faith Ritz.
