Gayle
Hamm
Nov 25, 1940 — Aug 2, 2026
Gayle Verene Hamm was born on November 25, 1940.
Upon entering Heaven on August 1, 2026, at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 7 days was reunited her husband, Gene and the rest of her waiting family she so dearly missed while here on earth.
Born to Emma Jeannette Campbell and Newton B. Baker.
She was raised in Cordell, Oklahoma and Graduated Cordell High School in 1959. Then she moved to California with Gene during his time in the Navy.
After returning from California, Gayle worked tirelessly in several jobs before finally finding her place at the 3M plant, where she thrived and remained until retirement. However, retirement never slowed her down. With remarkable energy, and a strong work ethic, she continued working as she took on a couple of additional jobs afterward.
Gayle was also a wonderful baker sharing her love and care through many German and Mennonite favorites she learned to make from Gene's mother. Her homemade pies became a cherished and eagerly anticipated tradition enjoyed by family and friends.
Those who knew Gayle, knew her exuberant voice and unmistakable high-pitched giggle could light up any room. Her warmth, lively spirit, and boundless energy brought joy to those around her and made every gathering brighter. She had a way of making her presence known not only through laughter, but through the love, enthusiasm, and life she brought wherever she went.
Gayle is survived by her daughter Rhonda Butterbaugh and her husband Craig of Weatherford, Oklahoma; son, Russel Hamm of Oklahoma City.
She was also blessed with granddaughters, Tara Cooper of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Tasha Bryson and husband Matthew of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Skylar Hamm of Oklahoma City; and great grandchildren, Chasity, Margaret and Chatelyn Cooper, and Mark and Charlotte Bryson completed her family.
Interment services will be held privately by the family.
