Gail was born on October 25, 1918 in Ellis, Kansas to Jacob Ralph and Edith (Snyder) Bassler and passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Weatherwood Assistant Living in Weatherford, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years, 8 months, and 11 days.

Gail and her parents moved to Hydro in 1926 where she attended and graduated from Hydro High School in 1937. Gail attended Business College in Oklahoma City for one year. Gail married Curtis Jones on September 14, 1940 in Arapaho, Oklahoma. They made their home just north of Hydro where she raised her family. In 1959 Gail started working as a clerk at the Hydro Post Office until retiring in 1983. Gail enjoyed ceramics, flowers, collecting dolls and Church activities. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Hydro.

Gail is survived by one son, Marlin Jones and his wife Valorie of Oklahoma City, OK; one daughter, Claudia Maddalena and her husband Allan of Honolulu, Hawaii; one sister, Phanetta Belew of Spokane, Washington; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and one brother in law, Beryl Jones of Weatherford, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Edith (Snyder) Bassler, and her husband, Curtis Jones.
