Mass of Christian Burial for Gabriel G. Elizondo, 76 year-old Colony, OK resident, will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 at 1:00 PM at St. Eugene Catholic Church, Weatherford, Oklahoma with Father Chris Tran officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Gabriel G. Elizondo was born on March 24, 1937 to Apolonio and Celestina Elizondo and passed away on December 29 , 2013 at Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Gabriel married Maria Benavidz in Dilley, Texas on August 18, 1955. They made their home in Dilley, Texas where they lived for the next 12 years. In 1973, they moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma. Gabriel worked for Trojan Livestock in Weatherford until retirement. He enjoyed welding, scrapping metal, keeping livestock and most of all fishing with his grandchildren and working in his garden. Gabriel G. Elizondo lived in Colony, Oklahoma.

Gabriel is survived by five sons, Alfred Elizondo of Colony, Oklahoma, Daniel Elizondo and his wife Nilda, of Weatherford, Gabriel Jr. Elizondo of Bridgeport, West Virginia, Chris Elizondo and wife, Billie Jo of Corn, Oklahoma, and Henarro Elizondo of Amarillo, Texas; six daughters, Maria Harper and husband Wendall of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Beatrice Elizondo of Colony, Oklahoma, Erlinda Donners and husband Kent of Joliet, Il, Margaret Elizondo of Cordell, Oklahoma, Rebecca Castrejon of Anadarko, Oklahoma, and Joyce Elizondo of Cordell; thirty grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; six sisters, Eva, Libby, Rosa, Rita, Gloria and Elena; and six brothers, Matilde, Jose, Elpido, Efrian, Martin, and Hildo. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maria B. Elizondo; brother, Silverio; sister, Monica Guarjardo; and two grandsons, Grant and one in infancy.
