Funeral services for FyrnE Luekenga, 93 year old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Emmanuel Baptist Church with David Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Poage Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

FyrnE was born April 19, 1920 in Wapanucka, Oklahoma to Freddie Theadore and Zemuely Elizabeth (Guyton) Andrews and passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Weatherwood Living Center in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She went to school in Colman, Martha, and graduated from Eakly High School in 1938. She married Eugene (Gene) Luekenga and they made their home N. E. of Colony, Oklahoma. She worked alongside her husband on the family farm. They were members of the Wheatland Sams and went south for the winter to McAllen, Texas for 8 years. In 1995 she moved to Weatherford. She enjoyed making quilts and gardening. Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church building fund.

FyrnE is survived by one son, Ronnie Luekenga and wife Betty of Colony, Oklahoma; one daughter Janice Fern Scott and husband Jimmy of Gracemont, Oklahoma; one sister, Mildred Hicks of Weatherford, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Jewel, Fay, and Gladys and two brothers, FredT and Norman.
