Fred J Patton was born June 23, 1954, in Thomas to Garland and Alverta (Peterman) Patton and passed away Monday, March 9, 2020, at SSM St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, at the age of 65 years, 8 months, and 16 days.

Fred was raised and attended school in Thomas, graduating with the Class of 1972. He earned his Registered Nursing degree in 1991 from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. On December 29, 1992, Fred married Sherry Stewart in Thomas where they made their home. He worked at St. Anthony Hospital for 30 years, before retiring in 2020. Fred enjoyed time at the lake with his family and riding his scooter around Thomas making the rounds to visit friends. Fred cherished his family and the times they could be together. Fred also never met a stranger as is evident by the lifelong friendships he had in Thomas and at his work.

Fred is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sherry Patton of their home in Thomas; two daughters, Kasey Smallwood and husband, Matthew of Norman, OK and Alison Patton of Weatherford; and three grandchildren, Natalie, Ellie and Isaac. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Glee Rauh and grandson Noah.
