Funeral services for Frankie Raymond Svitak, 89 year-old Hydro, Oklahoma resident, will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at 2:30 P.M. in the First Baptist Church in Hydro, Oklahoma, with Rev. John Forsythe officiating. Burial will follow in Hydro Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Frank was born October 1, 1922 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Frank V. and Millie (Roller) Svitak and passed away at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Sunday, March 4, 2012. Frank was raised and attended school in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He enlisted into the Army during WWII from 1946 to 1953. On July 5, 1948, he married Maxine Austin in Anadarko and made their home in Hydro. Frank leased a gas station and farmed and later worked for the City of Hydro for 10 years. In 1969, he started working in Hydro Schools where he worked as custodian for 20 years and drove a school bus for over 30 years. Frank enjoyed farming, raising his family, and traveling with Maxine. Memorials may be made to the Hydro-Eakly Schools for classroom supplies.

Frank is survived by two sons, Frankie Svitak and wife, Patricia of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Ron Austin and wife, Lisa of Yukon, Oklahoma; three daughters, Lona Kay Morelock and husband, Buck of Hinton, Oklahoma, Sue Hatcher and husband, Rudie of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Denna Goossen and husband, Phil of Hydro, Oklahoma; one brother, Henry Svitak and wife, Lori of Bessie, Oklahoma; three sisters, Lucy Horton of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Mary Holloway and husband, Harold of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Christine Grantham of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; as well as numerous other family members they helped raise; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maxine; two brothers, Jimmie and Enos; and one sister, Ludene.
