Fanny Jane Logsdon was born September 27, 1926, in Weatherford to George F. and Ora (Quattlebaum) Payne and passed away Monday, March 16, 2020, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Tulsa, at the age of 93 years, 5 months, and 19 days.

Fanny was raised south of Weatherford on the family farm. She attended Hardin Rural School and graduated from Colony High School in 1943. She earned her teaching degree from the Southwestern State College in Weatherford. Fanny married Harold Dodgen and they made their home in Perth, Kansas. She and her family moved to Weatherford in 1965 and she taught special ed in Eakly, Gould, Canute, Sallisaw, Clinton, and Weatherford. Fanny enjoyed photography, playing the piano, doing things for her family, and her volunteer work. Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation – Alzheimer Research.

Fanny is survived by one son, John Dodgen and wife, Mary of Sand Springs; one daughter, Nancie Dodgen of McAlester; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; two brothers, Wendell and Sheldon; and one sister, Sharron.
