Funeral services for Fannie Yoder, 82 year-old former Thomas, Oklahoma resident, will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014, 10:00 A.M. in the Pleasant View Mennonite Church with Jerry Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends Monday, September 1, 2014, from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at funeral home in Weatherford.

Fannie was born December 29, 1931, in Thomas, Oklahoma to David and Elizabeth (Wingard) Miller and passed away Friday, August 29, 2014, at home in Loogootee, Indiana. Fannie was raised and attended school in Thomas, Oklahoma. On March 3, 1952, she married Melvin H. Yoder and they made their home in Thomas. She was a homemaker and was well known for her pies and hospitality. She was dearly loved by all who met her. She had a very special spot in her grandchildrens life. She will be greatly missed by her family & friends. Her dear sweet smile will be forever shining in Heaven. Many lives were touched by her sweet spirit. Her life testimony reflected the Proverbs 31 women. May the Lord Jesus be given glory and honor of her life. She lived a life of selflessness and always put others before herself. She was the custodian for the First Baptist Church of Thomas, Oklahoma for twenty plus years.

Fannie is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Ervin and husband, Bobby of Thomas, Oklahoma; three sons, Cletus Yoder and wife, Joy of Loogootee Indiana, Amos Yoder and wife, Rhoda of Thomas, Oklahoma, and Joni Yoder of Loogootee, Indiana; three sisters, Alma Yoder of Leon, Iowa, Melinda Yoder of Sarasota, Florida, and Fern Randolph of Thomas, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Amos and Paul Miller.
