Funeral services for Everett Laverne Hamar, 72 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Christian Church in Hydro, Oklahoma with Rick Dyson officiating. Burial will follow in Hydro Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Everett was born January 10, 1942 in Thomas, Oklahoma to Charles and Nora (Settles) Hamar and passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at his home in Weatherford. Everett was raised and attended school in Thomas and graduated from Thomas High School in 1960. On December 24, 1964, he married Patricia Ann Carman in Hydro, Oklahoma and made their home in Oklahoma City where he worked for Mistletoe for 15 years. In 1976, they moved to the Hydro area to farm and raise cattle. In 1993, Everett worked for Beaver Express for 15 years and retired in 2007. Everett enjoyed woodworking, doing stain glass, farming, and drafting. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Everett is survived by one son, Marty Hamar of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one daughter, Shelly Hamar of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one brother, Darrell Hamar and wife, Carol of Nashville, Tennessee; and two grandchildren, Zandra and McKenzie. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers, Harley, Harold, James, and Curtis; and two sisters, Zella and Nadine.
