Evelyn Lucille Bouma was born on June 8, 1936 in Kimball, Nebraska to Herman and Emilie (Baluska) Haug and passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 in Weatherford, Oklahoma having reached the age of 83 years, 3 month and 14 days.

Evelyn was raised in Kimball, Nebraska where she attended a country school and later graduated from Kimball High School. She attended college in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. On June 7, 1959 she married Dean A. Bouma in Kimball where they made their home. In 1970, Evelyn and Dean moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico. They moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma in 1979.

Evelyn will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed painting, sewing, and many other busy activities. She loved spending time with her family and cooking lots of meals. Evelyn was very active—she enjoyed bowling, volunteering, and traveling extensively (her nickname was Evelyn "Go Go"). In 2019, Evelyn and Dean celebrated their 60th Anniversary.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lawrence Haug; and two grandsons, Michael and Joshua Lester.

Evelyn is survived by her husband Dean Bouma of Weatherford; four daughters, Denise Lester and husband Wally of Carlsbad, NM; Debra Simmons and husband Roger of Carlsbad, NM; Danita McCormick and husband James of Carlsbad, NM, and Diane Bouma of Corn, OK; one son, Namen Bouma and wife Christi of Weatherford, OK; one sister, Eileen Church of Bennett, CO; one uncle, Jacob Baluska ; one cousin, Joann Ketchum of Cheyenne, WY; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren (and one on the way!).
