Eugene "Dale" Crowder was born June 27, 1929, in Corn, to V.F. and Ella Mae Crowder and passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, at Homestead Assisted Living in Weatherford, at the age of 95 years, 4 months and 18 days.

Dale graduated from Southwestern State College and lived his adult life in Weatherford.  He retired after 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service. Dale served many years as the Sunday School Superintendent at the First United Methodist Church; was Boy Scout leader for more than 10 years; was a 70 plus year member of the Masonic Lodge; and was a longtime member of Eastern Star, an affiliate organization.  Dale was a man of great moral character; had a razor-sharp memory and quick wit; and was a man of service to the causes he chose.

Dale is survived by his daughter, Linda K. Smith and husband, David; granddaughter, Catherine Lansford; grandson, Ryan Smith and wife, Katy; great-granddaughter, Olivia Lansford; and numerous extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Beth Crowder; two brothers, Verner Crowder and wife, Louise and Bob Crowder and wife, Jolene; and son, Mark Crowder.

As we bid farewell to our dear family member, we take comfort in the knowledge that his legacy of devotion, service and humor will continue to guide us forward.
