Funeral services for Emma Ruth Powell, 83 year-old Eakly, Oklahoma resident, will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013, 2:00 P.M. at Swan Lake Baptist Church in Eakly, Oklahoma with Pastor Huston Veal officiating. Burial will follow in Eakly Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Ruth was born July 4, 1929 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Clarence and Lilly (Kuhn) Wilburn and passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 in Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Oklahoma. Ruth was raised south of Swan Lake and attended school at Eakly. She married Bill Neil in 1947. They moved to California and had two children; Lonnie Neil, and Carolyn (Neil) Farmer. Ruth then married John Arrington and made their home in California, Portland, Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii. Ruth returned to the Eakly area in 1969. In 1982 Ruth married Ellis Powell. Ruth enjoyed being with her family and working alongside of Ellis raising cattle. Memorials may be made to the Swan Lake Baptist Church.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Ellis Powell of their home in Eakly, Oklahoma; two sons, Ron Arrington and Don Arrington both of Palatine, Illinois; one daughter, Carolyn Farmer and husband, Dave of Moreno Valley, California; three step-sons, Rocky Powell and wife, Ginger of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Ricky Powell of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Randy Powell of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Barbara Anthony and husband, Tony of Mansfield, Texas; three grandchildren; Billie, Joey and Jennifer and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donald Wilburn; one sister, Norma Hintz; and one son, Lonnie Neil.
