Beth was born on July 10, 1940 to Howard and Leila (Henderson) Smith in Custer City, OK and passed away on May 30, 2019 in Houston, TX having reached the age of 78 years 10 months 20 days.

Beth attend school and graduated from Spring Branch High School, in Houston, TX. She married Leroy Curell on June 6, 1959 in Arapaho, OK. Beth loved her husband of 59 years. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. She loved crocheting, painting and reading.   She always was up for craft projects with her grandchildren and nieces. Beth was a very courageous woman she had a back surgery in 1973 that left her unable to walk. The doctors told her she would never walk again. She taught herself to walk again and never stopped no matter what life gave her she never complained she would continue to fight for her independence.   She never considered herself handicap. She even went back to work and worked for many years. She was a wonderful Mom and will be truly missed.

Beth is survived by her husband, Leroy Curell; one son, Richard Curell; a daughter, Cheryl Cowie and her husband, Randy; two grandchildren, Brandi Franke and Jason Franke; one sister-in-law, Martha Eakin; and many nieces and nephews.

She is proceed in death by her parents, Howard P and Leila Smith; a brother, Earl Smith; a daughter Robin Franke.
