Martin Earl Kardokus, 82, of Eakly, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Weatherford Regional Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on November 13, 2018 at The First Baptist Church in Eakly, Oklahoma. Ray Weathers along with Terry Flansburg will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Eakly Cemetery.
Earl was born on the family farm in Eakly, Oklahoma on December 29, 1935. He graduated from Eakly High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor's Degree graduating magna cum laude from Southwestern State College.
Earl was married to Mary Elizabeth Ireton on August 3, 1968; they were married for 50 years.
Earl taught school for two years after graduation at Port School, and he was a lifetime, dedicated farmer and rancher. He was also a faithful Christian and long time member of The First Baptist Church in Eakly where he served as a deacon, adult Sunday school teacher, and director of The Royal Ambassadors.
Earl is survived by his wife, Mary, of their home in Eakly, son, Matt and his wife Gina, of Weatherford, son, Merl and his wife Shannon, of Oklahoma City, daughter, Melinda and her husband Chancer McPherson, of Minco, grandchildren, Kolton, Keaton, and Kinzie Kardokus, Carson, Cooper, and Creed Kardokus, and Chasen and Caylee McPherson.
Earl is preceded in death by parents, Martin Henry and Eva Kardokus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Parkinson's Foundation.
