Graveside services for Dorothy Carol Ralston, 90-year-old resident of Mannford, Oklahoma, will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm, in the Chapel at Hydro Masonic Cemetery in Hydro, Oklahoma with Lynn Lightcap officiating, under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born December 26, 1924 in Yukon, Oklahoma to Oscar Frederick and Minnie Alberta (Hileman) Larson and passed away on July 10, 2015 in Joplin, Missouri. Dorothy was raised in Sickles where she graduated high school in 1942. During World War II, she spent a year working for McConnell-Douglas Aircraft at Tinker Air Field in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In 1943, Dorothy married Paul Wick Ralston. They made their home in Caddo County for many years. They did live together in New Mexico for three years before returning to Oklahoma to live south of Hydro in 1964. In 1966, Dorothy and her husband moved into town. She started babysitting in 1968 and continued to do so for 25 years. She helped raise many children in the Hydro area and was famous for her chocolate no-bake cookies. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling her family with food. She attended The Church of the Nazarene in Hydro where she also taught Sunday School and was very active in Al-Anon. Memorials may be made to any Veterans Association or Hospital or to an Alzheimers Disease Organization.

Dorothy is survived by one son, Gary Ralston of Fairview, Oklahoma; two daughters, Paula and husband Skip Scott of Mannford, Oklahoma, Kelly Walker of Neosho, Missouri; five grandchildren, Todd Ralston and wife Robyn, Ginny Walenta and husband Butch, Gretchen Tegeler and husband Chuck, Matthew Dale Scott, and Elizabeth Paige White; six great grandchildren; and her 19 year old cat Samantha of the home.

She is preceded in death by her parents; six siblings; her husband; one son, George Michael Ralston; and one grandchild, Mitzi Paulette Ralston.
