Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Jones, 88 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017, 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Valley Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home. The family will have a visitation Wednesday evening from 6:00 TO 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born November 22, 1928, in Thomas, Oklahoma to D.B. and Pearl (Huston) Gorrell and passed away at home on Monday, April 24, 2017, in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Dorothy was raised and attended school in Thomas, Oklahoma. On December 22, 1945, she married Jack Jones in Stillwater, Oklahoma and graduated from Thomas High School in 1946. In 1950, they moved to Weatherford and farmed north of town. In the early 1960s, she worked as retail manager at Owl Photo. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Dorothy enjoyed playing bridge with friends, gardening, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and loved spending the weekends with her grandchildren and her pets.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, C.D. Jones and wife, Coleen of Duncan, Oklahoma and Robbye Jones and wife, Jan of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Carissa Jones Falon and husband, Trent of Altus, Oklahoma, Kristen Jones Quillin and husband, Scott of Edmond, Oklahoma, Alicia Jones Warwick and husband, Chris of Brentwood, Tennessee, Jarred Jones and wife, Corrie of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Drs. Katie Jones Carpenter and husband, Brant of Nocona, Texas; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her sister, Alice Christensen.
