Dorlas Joan Meier was born December 4, 1936, in Seminole, to John Earnest Allen and Esther Iva (Womack) Thompson and passed away Sunday March 24, 2024, at Oxford Spring of Weatherford, at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 20 days.

Dorlas was raised and attended school in Seminole, graduating with Claasen High School in 1954.  Dorlas worked as a waitress and later a hairdresser in Oklahoma City.  On June 8, 1975, Dorlas married Jerry Meier and made their home in Weatherford.  She enjoyed traveling, doing hair, cooking, her church, Dr. Pepper and watching the Price is Right.

Dorlas is survived by her daughter, Sheila Lindsey of Weatherford; step-daughter, Shelli Herd of Oklahoma City; brother, Marvin Allen and wife, Terry of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Charles; one sister, Carole; daughter, Vickie; son, Nickie; and grandson, Ben.
