Funeral services for Dorla Dean Klein, 85 year-old Moore, Oklahoma resident, formerly of Eakly, Oklahoma, will be held Friday, July 3, 2015, 2:00 P.M. in the First United Methodist Church in Eakly with Virgil Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Poage Cemetery, northwest of Eakly, under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.
Dorla was born December 8, 1929, in Colony, Oklahoma to William H. and Lennie (Ditmore) Patterson and passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015, in Hospice Quality Care in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Dorla was raised and attended school in Colony, graduating from Colony High School in 1947. On May 23, 1947, the day after she graduated from high school, she married Albert Klein in Colony where they made their home. They later moved south of Eakly and Dorla worked alongside Albert on the family farm and also kept the books for his welding shop after moving to Eakly. Dorla enjoyed fishing, going to the Colony Jamboree, organizing family reunions, traveling, and visiting with friends and family. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Research.
Dorla is survived by her daughter, Karen Walker of Moore, Oklahoma; two sons, Gary Don Klein of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Stanley Klein of Eakly, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mary Verlene Dye of Del City, Oklahoma and Marilyn Ray of Stigler, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one sister, Loretta.
