Funeral services for Doris Gayle Tinsley, 84 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Friday, October 16, 2015, 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church with Pastor Earl Stephenson officiating.

Doris was born December 25, 1930, in Gracemont, Oklahoma to Barton Benjamin and Ethel Irene (Nixon) Kemp and passed away Monday, October 12, 2015, at Weatherford Living Center in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Doris was raised and attended school in Gracemont and south of Hydro and graduated from Hydro High School in 1948. On April 8, 1949, she married Daniel Milton Tinsley and made their home in the Weatherford area. Doris had worked in a beauty shop, Anthonys, Owl Photo for 10 years, was court clerk for the City of Weatherford for 10 years and as a cook for the public schools. She also owned and operated Tinsleys RV Park for over the last 20 years. Doris enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling and building churches, catering and making wedding cakes, quilting, traveling with her sisters, and spending time with her family.

Doris is survived by one son, Steve Tinsley and wife, Linda of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two daughters, Phyllis Sterba and husband, Jay and Andra Epperly and husband, Richard all of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one brother, Afton Kemp and wife, Dori of Chino Valley, Arizona; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dan; two sisters, Marie and Irene; two brothers, Lloyd and Barton Jr.; and two sons, Michael and Nathan.
