Dora Dean
Gregory
March 6, 1952 – November 1, 2021
On March 6, 1952, this earth was blessed with a true angel, Dora Dean, Abernathy, Texas, to Clyde and Letha (Wimberly) Massey and went home to be with our Lord on November 1, 2021, at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 25 days.
Dean's family moved around numerous times due to their Dad's work. In 1961, they moved to Portales, New Mexico. Dean graduated in 1970. On September 4, 1970, she married the love of her life, L.C. "Carlton" Gregory in Portales, New Mexico. They made their home south of Weatherford. Dean drove a school bus for Washita Heights until her boys were out of school. She was Scout Leader for their troop. Dean worked for Steve Sauer (Nappa Auto Supply) delivering auto parts. She was an LPN and worked at Corn Heritage Living Center and retired after working 25 years. She worked at the Et Cetra Shop for 20 years. Dean was involved in Relay for Life. She loved her Lord and was always helping others. Dean loved gardening, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Dean is survived by her husband of 51 years, Carlton Gregory; sons, Anthony and Thomas Gregory; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Marion; and sisters, Louise, Marlene, Beth and Jeannie. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bruce, Carl and J.D.; and sister, Peggy Jo.
She will be sorely missed! Fly high Deano.
