Donna Lois
Willis
June 19, 1945 – February 25, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donna Willis, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Corn Heritage Village in Weatherford. She was 79 years old, 8 months and 6 days.
A celebration of Donna's life will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 10:00am at the Church of the Nazarene in Weatherford, OK, with Jeff Sykes officiating. She will be laid to rest that afternoon at 3:00pm in New Velma Cemetery in Velma, OK, under the care of Lockstone Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing and visit with family on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
Born on June 19, 1945, in Wichita Falls, Texas, Donna spent her early years there before her family moved to Velma, where she graduated from Velma-Alma High School in 1963. With a natural gift for making others feel beautiful inside and out, she attended cosmetology school before embarking on a successful career as a hairdresser. Donna's passion for helping others find a place to call home also led her to become a Realtor/Broker and, in 1985, she founded LTD Sooner Real Estate, a business she ran with dedication until her well-earned retirement in 2023.
Above all, Donna's greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, never missing a sporting event or an opportunity to support them in their endeavors. She delighted in gathering her loved ones together, creating a home filled with warmth and love.
A woman of boundless energy and kindness, Donna found joy in simple pleasures—walking, exercising, working in her yard, styling hair, and sharing coffee and conversation with dear friends. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she remained deeply involved in her church, devoting time to Bible studies and her love for Jesus.
Donna's legacy of love, faith, and unwavering support lives on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
She is preceded in death by her parents, H.O. and Ilena Pierce; her son, Alton Teryl Lawrence; her granddaughter, Adysen Willis; her nephew, Derrell Davis Bryant; her brother-in-law, Ray Bryant; and her grand-nephew, Jarid Letterman.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Tonya Kilburn and husband, Shaun; Lacy Miller and husband, Clay; and Dyrek Willis and wife, Jennifer; her six grandchildren, Chloe Horton and husband, Brandon; Rily Miller; Brody Willis; Caly Miller; Sam Miller; and Cash Willis; her great-granddaughter, Lottie Jo Horton. Along with her siblings, Gayla Ware and husband, Orville; Pat Bryant; and Temple Grundy and wife, Johnnie; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna's memory to the Church of the Nazarene.
Donna's life was a testament to faith, family, and love. Though she will be deeply missed, her light will continue to shine in the lives she touched.
Her family is comforted by Donna's words during this time, "God keeps his most precious treasures in heaven."
