Funeral: 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 12th, 2014First Baptist Church

Funeral services for Donna Gene (Moore) Oglesby, 75 years-old Eakly, Oklahoma resident, will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2014, 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Eakly with Virgil Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Eakly Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Donna was born August 10, 1938, in Eakly, Oklahoma to Archie and Imogene (Enyart) Moore and passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014, at United Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton, Oklahoma. Donna was raised and attended school in Eakly, Oklahoma and graduated from Eakly High School in 1956. On November 27, 1956, she married Rea Gene Oglesby and they made their home in Eakly, Oklahoma.

Donna attended the Eakly United Methodist Church. She was an active member. Donna served as Sunday school teacher, MYF director, and helped with many activities. Donna loved her church.

Donna joined the Home Demonstration Club, now OHCE, in 1959. She was a member for 55 years, Donna held multiple local positions and also served as Caddo County President. In the late 1990s, she was voted Oklahoma Homemaker of the Year.

Donna is survived by one daughter, Traci Archer and husband, Junior of Clinton, Oklahoma; two sons, Matt Oglesby and wife, Vicki of Tomball, Texas and Todd Oglesby of Eakly, Oklahoma; two sisters, Linda Hooker of Duncan, Oklahoma and Helen Horn of Richardson, Texas; three brothers, Roger Moore and wife, Becky of Eakly, Oklahoma, Bobby Moore and wife, Brenda of Carnegie, Oklahoma, and Rocky Moore and wife, Ingrid of Ashland, Oregon; seven grandchildren, Devin Oglesby and wife, Ashley of Edmond, Oklahoma, Colin Eckersley of Houston, Texas, Erin Oglesby of Tomball, Texas, Hunter Oglesby of Hinton, Oklahoma, Laken Thornton and husband, Cody of Hinton, Oklahoma, Colby Archer of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Jacob Archer of Clinton, Oklahoma; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail Oglesby and Taver Thornton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Imogene Moore; husband, Rea Gene Oglesby; and one grandson, Payton Kole Oglesby.
