Funeral services for Dennis Michael Houk, 63 year-old Fay, Oklahoma resident, will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016, 10:00 A.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery, south of Weatherford, under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.

Dennis was born December 29, 1952, in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Leonard and Mary Louise (McGee) Houk and passed away Monday, February 22, 2016, in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Dennis was raised and attended school in the Colony and Eakly area and graduated from Eakly High School in 1971. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Dennis began working building fences and then he worked at 3-M. On May 25, 1984, Dennis married Darla Settles in Weatherford and made their home in Weatherford. He later started welding in the oilfield and could weld just about anything. Dennis enjoyed welding; riding motorcycles; drinking Crown Royal and a smoke; and spending time with family and friends. He always had a reason to smile.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 31 years, Darla Houk of their home in Fay, Oklahoma; a son, Dalton Houk of Fay, Oklahoma; a daughter, Kodee Vaughan and husband, Brandon of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two brothers, Jim Houk of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Bill Houk and wife, Brent of Carrollton, Texas; a sister, Dianne Stephens and husband, Junior of Alfalfa, Oklahoma; a mother-in-law, Sue Castleberry of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an Uncle Lester Houk.
