Dean Ragsdale Brown, 70 year old Weatherford resident, was born September 20, 1951 in Weatherford, Oklahoma Jack Edwin Brown and Nadine (Young) Brown and passed away at Homestead of Weatherford on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Dean was raised and attended school in Weatherford, graduating with the Weatherford High School Class of 1969.  He married Susan Thiessen in Corn on February 21, 1969 and they made their home in Weatherford.  Dean attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University for 2 years before going on to Fire Protection School and later graduating from Oklahoma State University graduating in 1973.  Dean and Susan lived in Stillwater and Dallas before returning to Weatherford.  Dean started serving as a volunteer fireman and joined the family business -  Brown's Floor Covering.  Dean was active as a fireman from 1974-2001, becoming Chief in 1984.  Dean volunteered for the Weatherford Parks and Recreation Department and was dedicated to the development of what is now The Radar Park Sports Complex.  Dean enjoyed dressing up with the Firefighting Clowns and participating in Fire Prevention Week in the school systems.  Dean loved his family and was always active in children's and grandchildren's activities.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, OU football, and Rving in Colorado.  Dean loved vacationing with his grandchildren and loved taking them on Roller Coasters.  Memorials may be made to the Weatherford Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Brown of the home in Weatherford; two sons, Robbye Brown of Edmond, and Mike Brown and his wife, Mylissa of Weatherford; one granddaughter, Maicie  Brown, and two grandsons, Tyler Brown and Ryan Brown; two brothers; Jack and his wife Kathy of Edmond and Kim Brown of Weatherford.
