Funeral: 2:00 PM Monday, December 22nd, 2014"The Chapel" of Lockstone Funeral Home

Funeral services for David Hamilton, 92 year-old Claremore, Oklahoma resident, formerly of Weatherford, Oklahoma, will be held Monday, December 22, 2014, 2:00 P.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home with Michael Kimball officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

David was born January 8, 1922, in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Henry and Rosa (McGoffin) Hamilton and passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Claremore Veterans Center in Claremore, Oklahoma. David was raised and attended school in Weatherford, Oklahoma and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1940. On December 21, 1941, he married Joanne Hadley in Las Vegas, Nevada. David enlisted in U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He returned to Weatherford where he managed a Texaco Station, worked for the Post Office, worked at Hadleys Salvage Yard and later Hamilton Industrial Metal Buildings. David was the first Assistant Fire Chief with the Weatherford paid fire department. He enjoyed waterskiing, going to the lake, and he built his own boat. Memorials may be made to the Weatherford Fire Department.

David is survived by two daughters, Judy Kimball and husband, David of Claremore, Oklahoma and Sue Hall and husband, LeRoy of Coweta, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dan, Junior, and Johnny; and four sisters, Marie, Mildred, Gertrude, and Rosa.
