Funeral service for Darlene V. Rozell, 92 year-old McClain, OK resident will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Church of Christ in Weatherford, OK with Brother Don Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Eakly Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Darlene was born May 31, 1924 to Porter Green and Maude (Hall) Self in Orr, Oklahoma and passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in Purcell, OK. She was raised in Oklahoma, while also spending a brief time in California. She met and married Woody Taylor in 1941, and they made their home in Eakly, OK. They owned and operated a caf and recreation center in Eakly, OK. Woody passed away in 1971. In 1980, she moved to Hinton, than later to Weatherford, where she met and married Bill Rozell in 1978. They made their home in Weatherford, OK. She enjoyed church activities, as well as, going to the lake and fishing. She also enjoyed spending time with the senior citizens in Purcell, OK.

She is survived by one son, Joseph Taylor of Yukon; one daughter, Linda Gather of Yukon; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sue Galvan of Bakersfield, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Maud Self; two husbands, Woody Taylor and Bill Rozell; five brothers, Garnett, Jonah, Raymond, Billy, and Charles; five sisters, Vera, Quanita, Helen, Monique, and Glenda; and her son-in-law, Raymond Gather.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Rick Schmidt and Loving Care Home Health and Hospice for all of their tender, yet professional care of Darlene. It was deeply appreciated.
