Daniel Paul King was born March 1, 1953, in Medford, Oregon, to David Gerald and Thirza Elizabeth (Glidden) King and passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 71 years.

Dan was raised in Eugene, Oregon. He served for 6 years on nuclear submarines and ships in the U.S. Navy. After his military service, he settled in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Dan loved working on electronics, rockets, drones, and the like.

Dan is survived by two sisters, Debbie Overman of Seattle, Washington and Diane James of Vacaville, California; half-sister, Teresa King from Medford, Oregon; nieces and nephews; his significant other, for over 35 years, Frances Brooks of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; step-children, Kitty Motter of Pryor, Oklahoma, Ken Wentz of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mary Mathes of Claremore, Oklahoma; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Eric Wentz.

He was a genuine, kind soul and will be truly missed by many.
