Obituary

Dale Ray Taff was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma on January 11, 1949 to Earl and Opal (Smith) Taff and passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on March 5, 2026 at the age of 77.

Dale was raised in Eakly and graduated from Eakly High School in 1967. Following high school, he earned an Associate's Degree in Business from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. From 1969-1975 he was in the National Guard. It was during this time that his father, Earl, passed away and Dale returned closer to help run the family farm.

Dale met Neva Jo Clear and they were married on April 16, 1971 at Eakly Methodist Church. The couple made their home in Eakly and welcomed 3 children - Robyn Renee, Brady Shane and Dusty Shaun.

Dale was a farmer and rancher and spent his whole life in Eakly on the farm. He enjoyed raising cattle, gardening and his famous dog "Cookie the Cowdog" and not to mention, his baby "Peewee the Weenie Dog". Dale was also known to meet his coffee drinking buddies everyday, often several times a day.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Robyn Harris; grandson, Kelby Harris; and brother, Ivan Earl Taff.

Dale is survived by his wife, Neva Jo Taff of the home; son, Brady Taff of Weatherford, Oklahoma; son, Dusty Taff and wife, Lyndi of Jasper Texas; grandchildren, Kody Harris, Cutter Taff, Cooper Taff, Kasten Taff, Kynli Taff and Keagan Taff; sister, Mona Jean Suter; bonus children, Lance Harris and wife, Elizabeth, Gregg Clear and wife, Mikka and Jacob Jewell and wife, Bethany.
