Memorial services for Dade Asher Wilkerson, 8 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017, 3:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church with Scott Page officiating. Services are under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.
Dade was born April 25, 2009, in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Caleb Isaac and Darcy Ann (Guthrie) Wilkerson and passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017, north of Weatherford, Oklahoma. Dade was raised and attended school in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He had a personality big enough to fill a room and he lived life to the fullest. Dade was a friend to all and a leader to many. He knew Jesus openly and talked about his faith to everyone who would listen. Dade was loved by his teachers and classmates and was a jokester, loving to make you laugh. He loved farm life, swimming at the beach and spending time with family and friends. Dade was a Mammas boy, a best friend to his Dad, and an incredible big brother to his little brother and sister. He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be missed by all.
Dade is survived by his parents, Caleb and Darcy Wilkerson of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; his brother, Owen and his sister, Emi of the home; maternal grandparents, Phil and Lynn Crum of Waldo, Florida; paternal grandparents, Ed and LaDonna Wilkerson of Frederick, Oklahoma; great-grandmother, Pearl Wilkerson of Buffalo, Oklahoma; and aunts and uncles, Abe and Krista Wilkerson of Victoria, Texas, Zac and Courtney Wilkerson of Killeen, Texas, Kelly Wulzer and Greg Lazzaro of Pensacola, Florida and Jace and Susan Guthrie of Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Bill Guthrie and John Wilkerson; grandmother, Barbara Brooks; and great-grandparents, Ross and Betty Hamby, Bob and Belinda Patton, and Creighton and Betsy Guthrie.
