Graveside services for Christina Chris Louise Thompson, 84 year-old Tulia, Texas resident, will be held Monday, December 8, 2014, 2:00 P.M. at Greenwood Cemetery with Bro. Barry Retherford officiating. Services are under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Chris was born December 4, 1930, in Gotebo, Oklahoma, the second of 10 children born to Adair and Lois (Lady) Kitchens and passed away Friday, December 5, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was raised and attended school at Weatherford, Oklahoma. Being the oldest girl she played a big role in caring for her younger siblings. She continued that role until her death. She also worked hard helping her father on the farm.

On August 10, 1958, she married Alvry Al Adison Thompson in Clinton, Oklahoma and they moved to Tulia, Texas in September 1958, where they farmed side by side until Als death in 1994. She continued to live on the farm alone even though she was almost blind. Chris loved working in her yard and flower beds. On June 19, 2014, Chris moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma to be closer to her family.

Chris is survived by two sisters, Jo Tryon and Pam Hartzell and husband, Everett all of Weatherford, Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Kitchens of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Jerri Kitchens of Midland, Texas and Janette (Carson) Willsie of Tucson, Arizonia; in-laws, Jack and Ava Beth Thompson of Tulia, Texas and Betty and Glenn Dennis of Tulsa, Oklahoma; special nieces and nephews; and wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Richard, Jessie, Dale, Darrel, and Carrol; and two sisters, Dee Hudnell and Brenda Sewell.
