Chase Edward Mapes Taylor was born May 28, 1998, in Oklahoma City, to Chad Mapes and Sherrea (Emrich) Taylor and passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, in Fort Worth, TX having reached 25 years, 3 months and 13 days.
Chase was raised and attended school in Hinton, attending Weatherford during middle school and high school before graduating with Hinton High School with the Class of 2017. After graduation he started work as a diesel mechanic. He also earned a personal training certificate and worked on obtaining his private pilot license. Chase loved building and flying RC planes. He rode a Harley Davidson motorcycles and had been to Sturgis. He was active in the Christian Motorcycle Association and raising money for veteran services. Chase enjoyed helping anyone that needed help, and working on and rebuilding motorcycles.
Chase is survived by his parents, Sherrea and Jack Taylor; father, Chad Mapes; five sisters, Sierra Taylor, K'Lei Taylor, Aubrie Taylor, Shaylin Taylor and Hope Taylor; maternal grandfather, Robert Rice; paternal grandmother, Sherry Mapes; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sandra T. Rice; Jack and Gail Taylor, Alvin Mapes, Bud and Erma Mapes and Alfred and Barbara Howe; and an aunt, Shelly Johnson.
