Charles was born on February 18, 1950 in Hydro, OK to Paul and Viola (Ditmore) Van Huss and passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 in Clinton, OK having reached the age of 70 years, 8 months and 14 days.

Charles was raised south of Hydro on the family farm, he attended school in Hydro. After school, he joined the United States Army serving a tour in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970 in the Infantry, receiving a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He worked as a farm hand and in the oil field from 1973 to 1980. Charles was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on cars and going fishing. Charles moved to the Clinton Veterans Center since 2000, due to his health.

Charles is survived by his 2 brothers, Paul Van Huss of Yoder, CO and Todd Van Huss and his wife, Debbie of Colony, OK; one sister, Jolene Tripp and her husband, Andrew of Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Phyllis, Rhonda and Paula.
