Charles Edward Gesell was born November 12, 1924, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Charlie and Essie (Flenner) Gesell and passed away at home on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, in Okarche, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 10 months, and 3 days.

Charles was raised and attended school in Berlin, Oklahoma, and moved south of Hydro, Oklahoma, at the age of 15. He graduated from Hydro High School in 1943. In 1943, he married Jo Greeson and made their home south of Hydro where he farmed. On December 30, 1955, Charles married Yvonne Sinor in Arapaho, Oklahoma. They moved to Weatherford in 1978. He started working at 3-M in 1976 until he retired in 1990. In 1998, he moved to Oklahoma City and in 2013 moved to Okarche to be with family. Charles enjoyed playing dominoes, working, and he liked to follow the financial markets. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Charles is survived by one son, Robert Gesell and wife Glenda, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two daughters: Traci Fuller and husband Benny, of Okarche, Oklahoma, and Essie Muns and husband Greg, of Longmont, Colorado; three grandchildren: Krista and husband Dirk Atkinson, Charlea and husband Tyson Martinez, and Bailey Muns; two great-grandchildren: Kyla and Kimber Atkinson; and a dear friend, Wanda Bounds of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and one sister, Evelyn Reynolds.
