Charlene Renee (Williams) Tanner was born September 30, 1947, in Boise City, OK to Charlie and Tollie (Pennington) Williams and passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2025, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK.

Charlene was raised and attended school in Boise City, Ok and graduated from Sickles High School in 1965. She met the love of her life, James LeRoy Tanner and they married on May 14, 1971, and made their home in Weatherford. Throughout her life, Charlene thoroughly enjoyed being a wife and Mother, growing her beautiful flowers and all types of gardening. She had a big love for animals, her faith, and she loved witnessing to others about the Lord.

Charlene is survived by her husband, Jim Tanner of their home in Weatherford; son, Robert (April) Tanner of Weatherford; and grandchildren, Dayton (Danielle) Tanner of Burleson, TX, Jacoby (Sarah) Tanner of Burleson, TX, Jarrett Tanner of Weatherford, Jahven Tanner of Tulsa, Kevin Carter of Arkansas, Sunny Colston of Weatherford, Logan Warner of Pennsylvania and Brooke Warner of Weatherford. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jamie Renee Tanner; son, James Lavern Tanner; two sisters, Connie VanHuss and Patricia Brown; and two brothers, Leroy Brown and Thomas Brown.

Funeral services for Charlene will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, 10:00 A.M. at Life Fellowship Church with Ric Freeman and Chasten Musick officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, January 16, 2026, 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home.
