Funeral services for Cecil Marlin Rowland, 91 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Federated Church with Pastor Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Hydro Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Cecil was born January 16, 1921 in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Harry and Lena (Jones) Rowland and passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Corn Heritage of Weatherford. Cecil was raised northwest of Hydro, Oklahoma and attended school at Cedar Rural School and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1937. He enlisted in the Army and served during World War II from 1942 to 1946 where he trained the troops. On January 25, 1944, he married Letha Horn in Weatherford and they made their home northeast of Weatherford and farmed. They were married for 63 years. Cecil enjoyed quail hunting, fishing, playing cards, watching his grandsons baseball games, and going to Branson and listening to country music. Memorials may be made to the Hydro First Responders.

Cecil is survived by one son, Mark Rowland and wife, Jana of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one daughter, Jan Huber and husband, Ray of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Darlene Gartrell of Salt Lake City, Utah; three grandsons, Ron Mark Huber and wife, Stephanie, Cade Rowland and wife, Tami, and Grady Rowland; and three great-grandsons, Tyler Huber, Ryan Huber, and Brett Huber. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two brothers, Chester and Melvin.
