Mass of Christian Burial for Carol G. (Socha) Holmstrom, 85 year old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Eugene Catholic Church with Father Christopher Tran officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Carol was born April 8, 1930 to Joseph Socha and Anna (Trazinski) Socha in St. Paul Park, Minnesota and passed away December 22, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Carol attended high school in St. Paul Park, Minnesota where she graduated in 1948. Later she attended Business College.

Carol married Kenneth Holmstrom on September 15, 1951 in Saint Paul Park, Minnesota. They were blessed with four children, Jane, JoAnn, John, and Mark. In August 1968 they moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma where they raised their family.

Carol was known by many for her giving nature, kind heart, and warm smile. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling and camping. Carol loved to entertain guests in her home and was very involved in social organizations. She was an avid sports fan especially football and basketball. She was famous for the dozens of homemade cookies she had on hand yearround.

Carol is survived by two daughters; Jane Roberts of Weatherford, Oklahoma and JoAnn Jodi Holmstrom of Edmond, Oklahoma; sons, John Holmstrom and husband, Chad McCarty of Wildwood, Missouri and Mark Holmstrom and wife Teri of Austin, Texas. One sister Faith Osteen of Upland, California. Four grandchildren Clay Roberts, Allie Gannon and her husband, Grant, Sara Roberts, and Kent Holmstrom and one great- grandchild, Jackson Gannon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, five sisters, and one granddaughter.
