Carlotta E. Hetrick was born July 1, 1931 in Maysville, Kentucky to Carl and Marjorie (Bramel) Evans and passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Sterling House in Weatherford, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 27 days.

Carlotta was raised and attended school in Maysville, Kentucky and graduated high school in 1949. On September 24, 1949, she married Harry H. Hetrick in Maysville. They had two children before she graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Elementary Education Degree from St. Marys University in San Antonio, Texas. Carlotta went on and received her Masters Degree in Reading Specialist and her Library Certification from Our Lady of The Lake graduating Summa Cum Laude with honors. She worked with the inner city Hispanic children on the North Side Independent School District teaching research in the library before retiring in 1999 and then moved to Weatherford. Carlotta enjoyed her volunteer work at the Heartland Museum, Methodist Church, Pioneer Center, Library, and PEO. She also enjoyed shopping especially for shoes, baking, reading, and working in her garden. She was a loving and fun mom and a hands-on Grandma. She always put her kids and grandkids first. Memorials may be made to the Methodist Church Kids Like Me program.

Carlotta is survived by one daughter, Anne C. Hill and husband, Bruce of Edmond, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents; husband; one son, Harry Hetrick; one brother, Tommy Evans; and one sister, Nancy.
