Brian Harlan Garrison, youngest child of Arthur Alden and Velva May (Gustafson) Garrison, was born in Huntley, Nebraska, on March 29, 1956 and passed peacefully at home on April 17, 2017 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Brian graduated from high school in Grand Junction, Colorado, and married his high school sweetheart Tanya Holland shortly thereafter on May 21, 1977. After marrying in Grand Junction, Brian and Tanya moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma, where they made their home. Brian moved to Oklahoma to work in the oilfield for his father-in-law, Bruce Holland. Brian and Tanya lived in Weatherford for the next forty years, and Brian worked in the oilfield for the duration. Their first child, Luke Hampton was born on August 16, 1980, and their second, Emily Holland, was born on April 13, 1988. Brian enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and history, but most of all he enjoyed his family, especially his grandson Henry. Brian and Henry were blessed with a unique bond and spent many joyous times together during

the past two years. Henry was a special sparkle in Brian's eye during his difficult battle.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Velva, father-in-law Bruce Holland, and brother-in-law Grant Holland. Surviving are his wife Tanya, son Luke of Elk City, Oklahoma, daughter Emily and husband Zach Patterson and grandson Henry of Durant, Oklahoma, brother Gary and wife Debbie of Ward, Colorado, sister Karen and husband Rev. Dr. David Jaeger of Longmont, Colorado, sister Beverly and husband David Schnell of Bushnell, Nebraska, brother-in law Scott Holland and wife Diane of Edmond, Oklahoma, brother-in-law Ben Holland of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, mother-in-law Mary Holland of Clinton, Oklahoma, and many nieces and nephews. Brian made numerous great friends in the oilfield community over forty years --too many to list-- and loved sharing his many oilfield stories. Gratitude to Randy Holleyman of Oklahoma City, for "teaching a man to fish." Also, special thanks to Dr. Jess Armor and his staff at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
