Brenda was born on February 20, 1960 in Altus, Oklahoma to Bill and Maxine (Elliott) Hicks, and passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at her home west of Thomas with her family by her side. She was raised in Altus and graduated from Altus High School in 1978. After graduation Brenda worked for the Civil Service at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City. In 1981 she returned to Altus and married Adrian Maldonado in 1984 and they made their home in Houston, TX. Brenda and Tim raised their children, a daughter Ashley and three sons, Elliott, Jay and Zac, on the family farm. Brenda worked alongside her husband on the farm. Brenda enjoyed working on the farm and was named Oklahoma Cattle Woman of the Year. She was an active member of the Bethany Brethren in Christ Church and spent many hours cooking and working in the church kitchen. After raising her own children, Brenda became a nanny to Cason and Carter Frymire, her twin nephews. She liked spending time cooking, gardening, reading, enjoying her family and going to many, many ballgames.
