Funeral services for Brenda Jean Foreman will be held Monday, April 14, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Hydro with Brandon Blacksten officiating. Burial will follow at Hydro Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Brenda was born on August 17, 1950 to Earl and Illa Foreman and died on April 11, 2014 in Hydro, Oklahoma. She was raised in Hydro, Oklahoma, and graduated from Hydro High School in 1969.

Brenda was a lifetime member of Little People of America. Her membership in LPA was very important to her, hosting numerous meetings and serving as needed. She was a member of the Hydro Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. In her later years she enjoyed being a TV evangelist fan.

She enjoyed attending the Country Jamboree near Clinton, Oklahoma. She could name all the band members and collected their music. As of 2014, Brenda had collected over thirty Country Jamboree DVDs.

Despite her visual and physical handicaps Brenda enjoyed needlework, spoon collecting, reading, and playing the piano. She was a true fan of TV Land and enjoyed watching many of their programs. Brenda enjoyed exchanging Emails with her family and friends with a customized Dell computer system she

saved money for several years to buy. She also enjoyed playing games and surfing Web.

Numerous children of Hydro whom she helped babysit fondly remember Brenda.

Brenda had to overcome numerous physical challenges during her life but she was ready to go anytime. She went to Las Vegas where she pulled the slots, went to several dinner shows, toured Hoover Dam, took on the Romulans at Quarks Bar, and bragged that she came home ahead.

Brenda and her entire family made an infamous trip to Disney World in Florida. She held her own against the pirate attack at the Pirates of Caribbean, ate at Neptunes grill, toured all four parks, rode the rides, the monorail and steam locomotives.

Brenda could hear a pin drop across the house; so better watch what you said. Brenda had the mind of a steel trap and kept the house in order from memory. She was opinionated and let you know about it. But her family loved her dearly.

Brenda is survived by her father Earl Foreman of Hydro, Oklahoma; two sisters, Cathy Shaffer and husband Jeff of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Iann Flowers and husband Chris of Humble, Texas; One niece, Ali Flowers of Austin, Texas; One Nephew, Hammer Flowers of Humble, Texas; One special friend, Opal Thompson of Thomas, Oklahoma, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many family and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Illa and her grandparents.

Memorials contributions can be made to Maple Lawn Manor, or LPA Scholarship.
