Bobby Glen Thompson was born November 13, 1936, in Weatherford, Oklahoma, to George Webster and Ada (Hill) Thompson and passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at home in Stillwater, surrounded by his family, at the age of 81 years, 8 months, and 24 days.

Bobby was raised on a dairy farm and attended school in Weatherford, graduating from Weatherford High School. He also attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. On December 23, 1959, he married Karen Kimble of Hydro, Oklahoma. They later moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Bobby worked for Phillips Petroleum Company as a railcar maintenance and safety inspector before retiring in 1986. He then became a real estate agent and a rental property owner.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 58 years, Karen Thompson of their home in Stillwater, Oklahoma; one son, Darren Glen Thompson of Stillwater, Oklahoma; one daughter, Donya Wynell Mauk of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and one brother, Carl Thompson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Odell Thompson; sister, Sally Burnette Thompson; and one grandson, Jess Horstman.

Following the graveside services, there will be a "Celebration of Life" Memorial Service at 6 pm at the Stillwater Fairgrounds Payne County Expo Center (4518 E Expo Circle, Stillwater OK 74075) where Cross Brand Cowboy Church meets in the NE building.
