Funeral services for Bobby James Ramsey, 86 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home with Rev. Truman Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Bobby was born May 25, 1926 in Tribbey, Oklahoma to Roy and Francis Pearl (Dutton) Ramsey and passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bobby was raised in the Carnegie, Oklahoma area and attended Union Corner Schools until the age of 14 when the family moved to Colony. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and returned to go to barber school in Oklahoma City. On May 7, 1949, Bobby married Joquetta Goza in Oklahoma City and made their home in Colony where he barbered for 5 years. They later moved to Weatherford where he continued to barber for 14 years. Bobby worked for Steve Stroud Insurance for 20 years as a hail adjuster. In 1985 until 2005 he worked for Nation Wide Insurance as a field representative and crop adjuster. Bobby served as President in Lions Club, on the Weatherford School Board, and in the V.F.W. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, playing Dominoes, fishing, and telling stories. Memorials may be made to the Tipton Boys Home.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joquetta Ramsey of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; one son, James Alan Ramsey and wife, Sharon of Edgewood, Maryland; one daughter, Rita Baumgartner of Stillwater, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and twelve great-grand-children. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles Ramsey; two sisters, Violet Stewart and Jimmie Ruth Williams; one daughter, Deloras Page-Bridwell; and one son-in-law, Richard Baumgartner.
