Bobby Ray Allen was born March 4, 1937, in Durant, Oklahoma to Charles and Oletha (Elliott) Allen and passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Weatherford Regional Hospital, at the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 29 days.

Bob was raised and attended school in Durant, Oklahoma and graduated from Leadville High School, Leadville, Colorado in 1955. He earned his Bachelor Degree in Music from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1959. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army serving his country from 1959 to 1962. On February 17, 1961, he married Bobbielou Jones in Lawton, Oklahoma. Married for six weeks and got sent to Korea. Bob began teaching in Marysville, Kansas. They moved to Midwest City and began serving in ministry. In 1968, they moved to Weatherford where he was the music minister for First Baptist Church for 16 years. Bob enjoyed fishing, snow skiing, photography, and spending time with family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Choice Pregnancy Center in Weatherford.

Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bobbielou Allen of their home in Weatherford, Oklahoma; son, Brian Allen and wife, Jena of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter, Kathy Gibson of Weatherford, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty.
