Betty Jean Schoonmaker-Williams placed her hand in the Lord's hand on April 20 and joined her husband Leon in Heaven.

Born on November 8, 1927, to farmers John and Zelma (Egelston) Schoonmaker, Betty was one of four siblings. Betty graduated from Putnam High School in 1944.

On December 23, 1944, Betty married the late Nelson Leon Williams of Lenora, OK. Betty and Leon farmed until moving to Enid in 1954. Betty became an accomplished office manager, accountant and, later in life, business owner. Over the years the family lived in Enid, Wichita, Tulsa, and then, upon retirement in 1989, they moved back to Enid.

Betty is survived by her son Deryle, sister Nila Haiduk, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, with many nieces and nephews.
