Funeral services for Betty Jean (Porter) Hollingshead Bouchard, 81 year-old Norman, OK resident, formerly of Weatherford, OK, will be held Friday, August 7, 2015, 10:00 A.M. in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home in Weatherford, with Josh Holm officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Betty was born November 11, 1933, in Eakly, OK to Marvin L. and Arvella (Thiessen) Porter and passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Norman Health Plex in Norman, OK after a very brief illness. Betty was raised and attended school in Weatherford, OK. On April 23, 1950, she married H.D. Harvey Hollingshead in Tucumcari, New Mexico and they made their home in Weatherford. She opened and operated Bettys Beauty Shop in Weatherford. With Harvey's death in 1993, Betty married Earnest Bud Bouchard on June 17, 1995, in Oklahoma City, OK. Betty also became one of Jehovahs Witnesses in 1973. Her spirituality was a big influence in her life and she served as a Bible teacher. Betty truely had a great love for people, was very outgoing, had a love for life, and had numerous friends. Because of this love of people, she absolutely loved talking about the Bible and its message of hope which she frequently shared both informally and house to house, viewing each person as another potential friend of hers.

Betty is survived by her son, Mark Hollingshead and wife, Becky of Saipan, Northern Marianas Islands; her sister, Juanita Snow of Weatherford, OK; two grandchildren, Christopher Hollingshead of Norman, OK and Ashley Hollingsworth and husband, Philip of Norman, OK; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Polly Walls of Enid, OK; and nephews, Jim and Charlene Tanner, Bruce and Terry Magill, Mike and Pam Magill all of Weatherford, OK, Jerry and Penny Hollingshead of Texas, Monte Walls and Elaine Dowling of Norman, OK, and Buddy and Sharon Walls of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and sister, Priscilla Magill.
