Betty Florence Boden was born February 16, 1944 in Oakwood to Herman Edwin and Irene Myrtle (Chain) Boden and passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, at her home in Weatherford having reached the age of 78 year, 8 months and 19 days.

Betty was raised and attended school in Oakwood, graduating with the Class of 1962.  She earned her Associate Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  Betty worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 18 years.  She married Robert Peters and they made their home in Choctaw. Betty later worked for the Postal Service in Norman, retired and moved to Oakwood for 18 years.  Moved to Weatherford in 2017.She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing and interior decorating.  Memorials may be made to the Oakwood Fire Department.

Betty is survived by her brother, Jim Boden and wife, Pam of Oakwood; nephew, Casey Boden; great-nephew, Tyler Boden and wife, Ivy; great-niece, Macy Hajny and husband, Kade; great-nephew, Brody Boden; and great-great-nieces, Ila Kay, Izzy May and Rylie Casey Boden, and Zoey Sue Hajny.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
