Obituary

Ansis Abolins was born August 13, 1945, in Oldenburg, Germany to Julijs and Anna (Karklins) Abolins and passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Clinton Veterans Center in Clinton, Oklahoma, at the age 72 years, 8 months, and 26 days.

Ansis throughout his lifetime had been a resident of Oklahoma City, Norman, and the Veterans Center in Clinton, Oklahoma. While residing in Norman, Ansis attended McFarlin Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Ansis received a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. His career included management positions in sales and personnel. Ansis was a loyal Sooner fan since the mid 1950's.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Ints and MaryAnn Abolins of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania; nephew, Edward; and nieces, Andrea, Jennifer, and Alison and their spouses, as well as six great-nephews and great-nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, Julijs and Lidija (Karklins) Abolins.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of the Clinton Veterans Center for their wonderful and compassionate care of Ansis.
